Ivory Talons, Chapter 4: Finding Mr Freeze Report

The aroma of brewed tea with the fresh growing herbs was the soothing balm to ease the sting of defeat.
After the brutal fight at Grail Industries, the team retreated to Fu's Herb and Tea Garden to regroup. Over one of Apothecary Fu's special 'healing tea', he listens to the team's story. Though he doesn't know who their opponents are, he recognizes the ability.
Clouding minds.
A dangerous and rare power taught to only a handful, the apothecary knows all too well the damage it can inflict on the unwary. He mentions this to the heroes and provides them with an experimental powder, one he has been developing with the aid of the Metropolis hero, the Shadow. One bag of the powder for each of the Knights Vigilant.
For Statesman, who had taken a direct hit from the strange energy weapon of the hawkman trooper, Luoyang Fu mixed special herb wraps. Small balls of a herbal tincture that when chewed could - should - provide some protection and relief from the beam. The beam, as she explained, attacked the victim's bioelectric field, disrupting it and causing the body to steal resources to survive. For Statesman, it stole his strength
However! A serious question remained. How to rescue their ally, Mr. Freeze?
It was Sarah who deduced the location. Remembering articles on current developments around Manhattan, he remembered that Oscorp was building a new convention center attached to their regional headquarters. One of the two buildings Moon Knight identified as possibly the 'center' of the 'sundial' that the Clock King was following in his crimes. Most importantly, even though the architecture of the center is to be arched like the Sydney Opera house in Australia, the face of the center is to resemble a giant sundial.
It took Moon Knight and Statesman only moments to confirm this through Moon Knight tracing down the comlink given to Mr. Freeze by the team and Statesman through a quick internet search.
Deciding it was best to look before leaping, Taki raced ahead to scout. Allowing Kara to take control of the body, they dressed in Kara's modern clothes over Taki's armor and took the subway through Manhattan until she could get to a building that was near, but not too close, to the construction yet allowed her a good vantage point to spy on the area. As Taki, she quickly confirmed the presence of something going on besides late-night construction. She wasted no time in contacting the others.
The team met up on the south side of Central Park. Before approaching the construction site, the team tried to manage ways to control the environment all the way to trying to access the security systems. In the end, a simple distraction proved best.
Calling in an order from a nearby PIzza Rollio place, Moon Knight ordered several pizzas to be delivered to the construction crew working on the building. The idea worked, as the foreman and his crew took a break to enjoy the pizzas. This removed the construction workers from the area in case they were lookouts or simply innocents. With the construction workers out of the way, the Knights Vigilant advanced on the site.
Temporary or not, the top floor of the site turned out to indeed be the lair of the Clock King and he was not alone! With him were two teams of the mysterious masked gymnasts, and what seemed to be their leader ... a woman in a mask painted with purple scrollwork along the edge. The team dubbed her the "Queen of Masks" after one of Kara's cards she drew when the cast the team's fortune for the upcoming adventure.
Most important, trapped inside a high tech, energy-domed "snow globe" was their ally, Mr. Freeze who was being subjected to a sunlamp to keep him weakened.
The team split up, coming in at different angles. Their goal was simple, free Mr. Freeze, then assault the Clock King and his allies! No sooner had the team arrived and disabled the device, the Knights Vigilant leaped into action!
Outnumbered almost two to one, the fighting was intense. Hurled disks and explosions lit the top floor of the construction site. Yet, past physical bruises and mental illusions and attacks, the team made progress toward defeating the criminals!
Until ...
... Moon Knight spotted the arrival of not one but two of the hawkman troopers! As the team staggered Clock King himself back with an unexpected use of a mysterious Golden Lotus 'combat powder', the hawk troopers waved a hand to point at Moon Knight. Abruptly seven android "baliffs" flew into sight, surrounding the heroes! Declaring them - especially Moon Knight - "guilty" they launched an energy blast attack! At the same time, the hawk-troopers hurled "darkness grenades" into the chaos. The grenades went off, soaking the entire top floor of the construction site in an inky blackness!
Now!
... as they are outnumbered over three to one, what can they do! Will they stop the Clock King? Will they find out what his plans are and bring them to a halt?Missions/Quests Completed
Tossing out ideas, it was Sahara that deduced the Clock King would have been drawn to a new convention center being built as part of an expansion to the Oscorp building on the south side of Central Park in New York! Confirming this, Moon Knight traced down the signal to the comlink that the team gave Mr. Freeze ... indeed he had been taken to the site!
But! The Clock King had been against kidnapping Mr. Freeze! Is there a fracture among the criminal gang?

Again, the mysterious figures in plain white masks and gymnast bodysuits! They are obviously working with the Clock King.
However! This time what seemed to be their leader, who the heroes dubbed the "Queen of Masks" was there as well!
On the heels of the fight, the team encountered not one but two hawk-humanoid figures in high tech armor! Yet, these strange individuals haven't identified themselves!
Last, android "bailiffs" from the Science Court, a nemesis of Moon Knight! But! Are they there working with the others? Or is this an opportune moment they chose to attack Moon Knight?
