BLACKOUT IN MANHATTAN!
Compounding the chaos that gripped the Museum of New York, Manhattan was plunged into a blackout today.
Power died, causing a traffic snarl along 5th avenue, notably a water tanker truck that lost control in the moment. The heavily-laden vehicle would have crashed into oncoming traffic had it not been for the timely arrival of the Knights Vigilant to assist the driver in stopping the truck. The truck slid into the intersection but didn't overturn. Also, the driver was able to walk away unharmed.
Meanwhile, eye witness reports suggest the hero team's efforts were being hampered by a mysterious figure in black. Dressed in a similar fashion as Moon Knight, this unknown figure tried to stop Moon Knight and the others from preventing the accident! Fortunately the efforts failed. The identity of this dark armored attacker is unknown.
At the same time on a side street, the hero team also stopped a car that turned out to have some sample of the mysterious ooze that has plagued New York Central Park for almost a week. This was potentially neutralized as witnesses reported the ooze was frozen, then turned into a pool of slush before it could swallow nearby pedestrians or slide into the sewer.
Driver of the vehicle was a woman in an Egyptian Mythological themed costume and a strange cat-like mask. Eye witnesses described the team rescuing what can only be Tesla Coil! The power armored member of the Knights Vigilant who seemed to have been captured by these unknown assailants.
Moments after the heroes were seen to pull Tesla Coil form the vehicle, NYPD's Code Blue descended on the area. With their usual efficiency, Code Blue locked down the area, taking several into custody even as the Knights Vigilant vanished from sight.
Rumors have been circulating that the blackout was caused by a fight between the Knights Vigilant and unknown assailants. These comments haven't been verified but it does raise the question around legalizing the ability of 'heroes' to work freely about the city. The 'Licensed Hero' action before the city council now.
Will this harm that effort? Time will tell.
OOZE EXPOSE: ORIGIN OF THE OOZE, PT 2
by Meil MingContinuing the expose into the mysterious "Orange Ooze" that has been a recurring threat in the Central Park area, the Dawn Sun Register has uncovered more concerning this mysterious substance.
Analysis of the footage of the Pier 1 attack on city employees revealed what looked to be, at first, a glitch on the data stream. This was revealed to be a energy distortion similar to the "holographic invisibility" technology under research at the University of Tokyo.
Technical consultants were able to remove some of the data deflection to reveal a strange looking creature, almost a broad-shouldered beast that resembles a mythic 'troll'. Only this 'troll' appeared to be a robotic creation that could change its shape as if the device was made of plastic or water. The video strongly indicates this robot emerged from the sewers and is the probable source of the orange ooze and mist that infected the city workers.
As part of this expose, this reporter has gained access to a sample of this chemical, sending it to Phoenix Industries labs for analysis. Final results will be reported once available.
However, tentative information has strong ties to the mysterious "meta power" tattoos of the Golden Lotus and elixirs used by some criminal groups in Vibora Bay region. Specifically the "Ivory Talons" gang.
Anonymous sources from Vibora Bay state that Ivory Talons are not just a gang but a dangerous mercenary organization, if not insurgent group, not dissimilar form the Hammer Empire organization. This investigation continues, following the leads as they point for Vibora Bay and the Ivory Talons.

Code Blue descended on 5th Avenue in the Central Park area today in response to the grid-wide blackout. They were unable to arrest a mysterious figure in black armor that was reported to be aggravating the situation.
Security guards from the Museum of New York City were taken in for treatment and questioning. At this time, Ironclad Securities has recalled its employees for testing by Cygnus Medical Center.
In a related incident, two people were arrested in conjunction with the near accidents and blackouts. Both of these individuals were remanded into treatment for long term mind control effects. However, one with an Egyptian Mythological Cat motif, has been placed under arrest as well.

The 'Licensed Hero' bill moves forward through the city legislature today with the tentative provision of 'consulting hero' where a licensed hero would be considered a 'consulting expert' law enforcement could tap into as a resource when needed. Debates have begun in earnest over the legality of 'hero alliances' as it pertains to a court of law.

STAR LABS / WAYNETECH PROTOTYPE TEST CONTNUES
Mid-day the new STAR Labs / WayneTech "Avatar" prototype took its first steps today outside the lab. Fledgling research into the world of human to machine communication took a bold new step today with the joint progress reporting success as a 'drone pilot' was able to successfully manipulate a holographic drone under controlled conditions. This hologram was, with limited success, able to allow the pilot to access and enter a hazardous area though a new neural interlink technology.
