"I know her," Sabbath’s head went from side to side. "Well, I sorta know her. I mean, I found her on the street covered in blood... not HER blood... it was the blood of the people she killed....
"They were all BAD people," he rushed to qualify the statement. "They hurt her real bad and awakened the Force in her and she couldn't control the rage or the pain....
"So, I had to stop her when she lost control... ," he took a deep breath and continued. "... I didn't hurt her! I stopped her and brought her to the hospital... to her father and friends... then the Harmonium...
"And she wants me to teach her, so...."

"She had a condition that did not allow her to feel pain. She had implants in her spine to energize and regulate... to make her feel things normally. I guess. Anyway, when these scum went over her with a truncheon, they damaged her implants and that dialed her pain receptors way up. They also awakened her Force powers," Sabbath shrugged, indicating he hardly understood what he was explaining. "She had pain and power and she wanted to hurt the ones who hurt her.
"She's not a bad kid," Sabbath knew he didn't have to justify it to Tia, but he did. "When it came time to stop her, I did everything I could to save her. And I did. And she trusts me.
"So, when the Harmonium offered to train her and asked who she wanted to train under," Sabbath leaned back in his chair. "She asked for me."
