In the year 2023 CE, humans in the American East Coast, North Africa, and Southwest Europe are suddenly reporting headaches and hallucinations. Over the course of the next week, all humans on the planet eventually report the same experience. Humans were not the only one, other intelligent animals around the world have been seen grasping their heads as if something was bothering them. Governments from around the world decide to search for the cause, navigating towards a point near the equator in the Pacific ocean. A tall portal to another world was suddenly opened, a world much like Earth. And after this discovery, smaller portals have been reported in densely populated areas, appearing and disappearing within seconds. Even though the portals and the other world was kept confidential, news spread that an anomaly of cosmic consequences was spreading over the planet.

A brief period of unity was experienced between the world governments, as countries chipped in reseachers to study the portal and the global phenomena. 2024 began, and some people reported telekinesis, supernatural strength, and the ability to create household objects out of thin air. The year of 2024 quickly became chaotic, as criminals, vigilantes, and heroes emerged to take advantage of the newfound strength. As governments studied the phenomenon, they realized that the source of all the supernatural phenomena were from particles inobservable from physical reality, but somehow controlled and felt by the human brain.

The year was 2029 now, and the phenomena was understood. Aura, was a particle that was held by not just intelligent, but conscious animals. Aura can be converted into energy at a user's intent, allowing for feats of supernatural ability. Aura was quickly used to progress Earth's societies at an astonishing level, as people who were proficient with Aura were able to do tasks tought impossible. Lifting thousands of pounds with a single arm, controlling objects with a single tought, creating precious metals with the snap of a finger. And as the years progressed, people's understanding of Aura became more and more complex leading to discover new functions of Aura never imagined.

2030 came in, and this decade was called the (Decade of Dance) as the sciences and world were progressing at an unimaginable rate. WAIs were created in 2032, which quickly lead to the creation of Fortuna, a global NGO ran by the WAIs, which hired the best Aura users around the world to work in the interest of Humanity. And suddenly the desperate curiousity of the world turned back to the portal in the Pacific. This curiousity lead to the World Governments and Fortuna deciding that after 13 years of study, in 2033, to enter the portal in the Pacific.

Fortuna found a world similar to Earth, with one important difference. The world was subsumed by jungle and rain, and filled with powerful creatures and plants that have evolved alongside Aura. It was a world of danger and mystery, and the entirety of Earth was watching the exploration.
