The Hamlet of Payne
Welcome travelers to the Hamlet of Payne, this hamlet was built at the crossing point of two largest trade roads in the land. Running North to South is the “Fallen Passage Track”, and from East to West runs the “Champion's Highway.”. Built upon the fertile soils, bravery and virtues of its past, this little hamlet has a strong economy, which is mainly supported by farming, animal breeding and the trade merchants. The climate is mild and perfect for farming. It's multicultural identity, is one of this small hamlets greatest assets, as Payne’s residents are representative of all of the major races. The town is laid out along the crossroads, with two warehouses on either side of the northern portion of the Fallen Passage Track. Along with two Taverns located on either side of the eastern portion of the Champion's Highway. The “Ugly Crossbow Inn” sits just to the east of the warehouses. With “The Faded Owl” across the Champion's Highway from the same warehouse. Surounding the town is the greater farming community itself. With eight subterranean farms and two cattle ranches, giving the hamlet it's trade goods for the merchants.
Mostly comprised of retired adventurers, which includes ‘Old Tom’ a half orc wizard and enchanter. ‘Thelma Trueseeker’ and ‘Esmerelda Humblesteel’ proprietors of the “Vintage Wares” trading post, and 'Brother Tobias Mooncut' a Cleric of the Church of Citune being the most notable among the population.
