Basic Information
Anatomy
Magicians are almost human. The physical substance of the Magician organism, composed of living cells and extracellular materials and organized into tissues, organs, and systems. There is a constant flow of elemental magic within the magicians, which can be manipulated by a magician to their will. The Magician has a bilaterally symmetrical body that is characterized at some point during its development by a dorsal supporting rod (the notochord), gill slits in the region of the pharynx, and a hollow dorsal nerve cord. Of these features, the first two are present only during the embryonic stage in the Magician; the notochord is replaced by the vertebral column, and the pharyngeal gill slits are lost completely. The dorsal nerve cord is the spinal cord in Magicians; it remains throughout life.

This species can not reproduce. They can hold romantic relationships, but can't bare any offspring.
Growth Rate & Stages
All members are born from a "Generation" where 100-200 Magicians are born each 10 years. These Magicians are spread throughout the continent. No one fully understands how they come into existence as no one has ever recorded or witnessed a magician being born. When a Magician is born, they are already at the physical age of 20 but have the mental maturity of a ten year old.

Social Structure
Magicians are in a self regulating society, there are no direct leaders. Instead, each magician is held to the standards of the "Magicians Headquarters", a government like entity that solely exists to keep Magicians in check.
Average Intelligence
Magicians tend to be far more intellectually superior to Humans, but this has to do with longer lifetimes and more experience than anything else.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Magicians use Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch, and Taste like a human does. The main difference is that Magicians can sense Elemental magic of other magicians or artifacts.

Magicians have a small mark on their face that looks like a tattoo. It's said to be a rune with unknown properties, but no one can confirm what it means. Magicians can have this tattoo removed with no side effects. The tattoo comes in the color of the element that the magician is bestowed with at birth.
