The return of the Golden tribe
There is a legend about the Trench of the Lost and it has started to gain more ground among the deep calamor since the wanderers of the Calamor Empire found the trench. When the forbears of deep calamor went down the trenches during the Rending, their greatest tribe, the Golden, went to the biggest trench. They lived there for a while, and many other tribes were in contact with them. After a while, they just vanished, and nobody knew where they went.
There was talk among the other tribes about what could have happened. There were many wild theories about their fate, but the conversations turned toward different topics as time passed. But when the tribes heard about the strange trench with the smooth walls, the Golden tribe became the focus again among the deep calamors.
There is one central theme in every discussion. And that is that the Golden tribe will come back through the trench one day, lead the other tribes back from the trenches, and live like old.
But everything else varies. One tribe knows that the Golden ones will lead them to a war with the Calamor Empire to topple the Kraken. After that, the deep calamors will be the new elite class, imprisoning their enemies in the trench. Another tribe says that the Golden tribe will come back with an advanced technology they will share with their brothers, and they already see this technology manifest in the smooth walls of the trench. The third one just wants to have them back along with the other tribes to live together as they did in the past. There are also wild speculations that the Golden found a vast under-undersea expanse of which the trench was the door. They are making it safe now for every deep calamor, and they will take their brethren there when everything is ready.
