Silk Syndicate
The Silk Syndicate is the only trading company of the skat'ra. It is sponsored by the skat'ra queens and handles all the trading tasks of the skat'ra.
As its name suggests, the primary focus is on the silk and the ramie produced by the skat'ra weavers. They also oversee the operation of Thrill Hill too and other less important business activities.
The hierarchy of the company is not complex. Because the skat'ra, by nature, are not good at trading, they contracted a shrewd kobold businessman. His name is Xoc Starhunter. Outside the skat'ra hives, he held several positions in different companies, continuously moving up the hierarchy. He is the best money can buy, and the skat'ra queens are not shy if they must spend a lot of money if the return is even more significant.
The syndicate was founded a couple of generations ago when the queens realized they needed resources outside the hives to grow. The first few decades were chaotic, but slowly and steadily, everything evolved, and with the coming of Starhunter, the company's productivity advanced further.
Starhunter currently has five subordinates. Each of them handles one specific branch in the company. These branches are selling silk, selling ramie, supervising Thrill Hill, purchases from the Calamor Empire, and purchases from the Dominion of the Hobgoblin. There is currently a discussion between Starhunter and the queens to open a new branch that can hire and lease mercenaries. Specifically, from the lupians and a couple of qats for special operations but the queens are not sure yet that this is something they want to do.
The company itself doesn't have any dealers. Everything they sell or purchase is conducted through other companies in other territories or just through simple dealers. The workers handle storage and distribution to the hills, and the warriors protect and guard the products. The dealers handle the actual transport between the hives and the other countries.
