Cratierian

The original inhabiters of the planet Crater evolved by Tala-ni'alni the god of Light and Life himself. And named after the planet they come from. They were the first forms of life on Crater and have an insectoid bipedal figure. Very tall with long legs that help them burrow through the sand dunes and rocky crust of Crater. Cratierians mainly live underground in a hive where they mostly live humbly and mine the metal and mineral rich crust of Crater.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Typically 4 limbs but some mutations have more arms or a tail. But typically just two very long legs and two arms. They are not a muscular species but slim and tough. Their exoskeleton allows them to bear many harmful hits like nothing and makes burrowing through the ground easy.

Genetics and Reproduction

Like ants Cratierians have a Hive Queen that lays bears eggs to hatch into young Cratierians.

Growth Rate & Stages

Cratierians don't live for that long only up to 50 years if they are lucky. They mature around 10 years of age.

Ecology and Habitats

Cratierians can live anywhere. The entire hive runs through all of Crater so anywhere underground or in tunnels is where you can find them digging and living.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Cratierians require nothing to continue living. Not even a single drop of water is required for a good 30 years of life. All they need to to continue moving. Like gills on a fish the movement of digging and mining through their bodies allows them the necassary nutrients from the very soil of the earth.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

It isn't common but some Cratierians do have some tremor sense if trained well enough.
