Narbonnan
Area
Narbonnan starts on the southern shore of Lac Mignon and finishes off in a V at the end of the continent.
Except for the lakeshore, it is mainly a jungle wilderness that has not been tamed yet by humans.
The jungle and most of Narbonnan is the home of The Perlins .
A sentient dragon-like species who have lived in Francalia much longer than humankind.
A sentient dragon-like species who have lived in Francalia much longer than humankind.
They do not approve of humans and their invasive ways.
However, being extremely curious by nature, they have developed ties and cultural exchanges with the Kings and Queens of Francalia.
Their gift for magic has made sure that their kingdom is not intruded upon by the grabby humans.
Habitat
- Temperate Jungles
Most of Narbonnan is filled with Temperate Jungles . The warm climate coupled with the high rainfall has created lush vegetation undisturbed for millennia.
The Perlins have only cleared what was necessary to build their walled cities. The small dragons are vegetarians (mainly) and they live off the roots and fruit found in abundance in the forest.
Teams of dragons go to the forest every day to harvest what they need. They also use a lot of different plants as spices to make their food less bland.
Perlins say that there are more than a hundred ways to cook the Callas, which is the staple root they consume every day.
- Lakeshore
The southern shore of the Lac Mignon does have quite a few human settlements.
The people there live a quiet life of fishing and crofting.
They sell the exotic fruit they grow not too far from the lakeshore.
They will rarely venture out into the jungle - the Perlins' domain.

The Perlins have an understanding with the humans of the lakeshore and The Guarals clans in the north.
Some human traders will buy goods that the Perlins are willing to sell in exchange for Francalian goods - mainly objets d'art and jewelry.
- Ocean Coast
Because of the jungle wilderness and the lack of human habitations, the coast is a great refuge for all sorts of bandits, smugglers, and pirates.
It is very difficult for the Valdoran and Malory navy ships to pursue the wrongdoers in the dangerous and stormy waters off the coast of Narbonnan.
The hidden harbors of the Narbonnan coasts have become smuggler and pirate dens.
The place is lawless and dangerous filled with unsavory characters.
