Je'Oran Technologies is a prominent technology company in Yutromorch, specialising in portable computers and computer software. Founded in 9184 by Oran Je'Darach, the company has grown to be one of the most well known in recent history, as its flagship OraNote can be found in nearly every home, school, and workplace in countries like Coragensa and Oyrian.

History

Je'Oran Technologies began with the covert development of the OraNote, invented primarily by Oran Je'Darach, who was employed at another tech company at the time. Though their contract stipulated that they had to sell any technology they developed while employed, Oran chose instead to resign before their work could be discovered, and continued to work on it. With a few of their old colleagues, they founded Je'Oran in 9184, and presented the first edition of the OraNote to the public.
Though this first computer was not a smash success, it earned enough for the company to develop a second iteration, the OraNote 2. Released during a lull in the production cycles of competing products, it took the market by storm, and catapulted Je'Oran and its founder into the national spotlight. Subsequent editions of the OraNote cemented their place in the technology market and helped them to expand to other countries.

Lawsuit

Their growth did not come without complications. When Oran Je'Darach casually mentioned the early stages of development of the first OraNote during an interview in 9206, their former employer took great umbrage with their statements, and sued for the technology that was 'rightfully theirs'. During this time, Je'oran Technologies diversified its products, notably not producing any OraNotes while legal proceedings were underway.
The lawsuit eventually concluded that the developments that took place after Oran's resignation were significant enough as to be a new product, no longer belonging to their former employer under the terms of their contract. Nevertheless, Oran was compelled to reimburse said employer for the pre-resignation developments. This was considered a substantial success for the company, and the OraNote 6 released in 9211 to great fanfare and commercial success.

Decline and Revival

Oran's run of great luck and development ended abruptly with the release of the OraNote 9 in 9219. Though it looked good in its specs, it faced multiple catastrophic hardware failures, and the outrage over it was immense. It was withdrawn from the market after only a few months, and Oran resigned from the company over the perceived lack of oversight during the computer's manufacturing. Their successor, Aila Je'Yelach-Tuaha, forced broad changes throughout the company to correct the issues, and the OraNote 10 that was released a few years later was perfectly functional.
Aila's time as Je'Oran Technologies' CEO has seen record growth for the company, expanding ever further into the countries of Naonad and Kulatraonen, and better establishing the use of their premier technology in schools and government. She was also prominent in celebrating the achievements of her predeccessor, especially when they passed away in 9225. Though it was not possible to name something after them, Aila saw to it that their work was immortalised in the release of the OraNote Ultra in 9228, which was presented as a 'true' successor to the brilliance of the original OraNote.
