Capital city of the Principality of Red Crest

A central area of imposing palaces covered in moldings, statues, crests and bass reliefs sits, uncomfortably so in its splendour, surrounded by a swarm of relatively modest houses and shops, some of the poorest areas literally under the shade of the prince's palace.
Mirkelins dash across the streets and mess with pet lyraiks as people that speak in hushed tones walk by loud philosophers that curse the decency laws in front of government officials.
The city of Vythlan, capital of the Principality of Red Crest, can be at times a beautiful sight and an awkward one, as the country courses a difficult time of social and gubernamental instability where the mere sight of the Palace of Taxes can put some people's fur to stand on end.

Shaken port

As with most capital cities in the Haan Archipelago, Vythlan is a port city, and the main trade hub of the country.
Its location is not gentle for such a task, as its docks open directly to The Shifting Channel, a treacherous sea full of tidal islands and unkind waves.
Despite this, Vythlan still managed to maintain many successful trade routes between Red Crest and, mainly but not exclusively, the islands of Thaur, Dhalmain and Larea.
