Aside from its strange colour Aura Water is nearly indistinguishable from normal water unless interreacted with by beings with magical properties who claim its taste and appearance are like nothing else that occurs in nature.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Aura Water can be drunken and cause a vast number of potential and utterly chaotic effects beyond anyone's control up to and including death by explosive butterflies, granting feats of magical power or causing the drinker to belch loudly. Due to the dangers of drinking Aura Water it is generally avoided by nearly all sane beings and naturally avoided by nearly all kinds of animals. Arcanivores (beings who feed on magic) are immune to Aura Water and seem to gain immense sustenance from drinking or consuming its energy. Magic resistant creatures sometimes are able to shrug off its effects but the more aura water consumed the harder this becomes.
Aura Water can be bottled and with very little magical preparation turned into a sort of magical battery that can recharge magical energy, fuel magical devices or infused into magical crafts to empower their construction. Beyond these well known uses Aura Water supposedly has countless other properties that have yet to be discovered or have been lost to the wider spell casting community (or so it is claimed) some alchemists for example claim it can be used as an explosive reagent or powerful mutagenic catalyst.

Aura Water rarely flows anywhere that it can be easily found, naturaly it is suspected to be found at a depth below ground that not even the most determined miners could ever reach its source. However extremely rarely pools and streams of it can be found at shallow depths or even on the surface. These pools of raw magical are rarely long lasting however and will dry up and seal themselves after after a seemingly random interval after appearing.
