Swordbreak

Created by

Swordbreak is the name of a continent on the world of Geiha. Geiha orbits orbits two stars and has two moons plus a ring, similar to Saturn's in the real universe. Each of these celestial bodies is representative of the five gods worshipped across Geiha since time immemorial. Swordbreak itself is a new world, discovered only 150 years ago. The mapped regions are fairly diverse, containing coastlines, mountains, verdant forests and rolling grassy fields.   There are several cultures that have emigrated enough to have a firmly established culture in Swordbreak. First are the humans, which are pretty much exactly what you think they are: the short-lived, prone-to argument "get stuff done race" on Geiha. Their government is a feudal monarchy, with lords presiding over towns that all report to a king that rightfully presides over the land. The Elves are have a very fast and loose form of government bordering on anarchy, which is fitting considering the lives they lead. Elves live and die based on social structure, and developing a rapport with important and influential individuals is the fastest way to gain - or lose - status in elfish society. Dwarves, on he other hand, are almost the complete polar opposite. they have a vast and cultured system of law, which leads to those who practice and study it on the same level as a Dwarven priest. The only thing Dwarves love more than complex law structure is religion and the pursuit of the gods, which they pursue to an equal extent as lawgiving.   The peoples of Geiha worship five major gods, with many smaller gods holding more specific jurisdictions. The five primary gods include Paladus, the just and strict god of power and the larger sun, and patron of good paladins and clerics; Balder, the boisterous and chaotic god of battle and the smaller sun, and the patron of barbarians and ironically the creator of the Dwarves; Hecate, cruela dnd vindictive tyrant goddess of witchery and deceit, and patron goddess of undead and devils; Paz, constantly changing and untrustable goddess of anarchy and the smaller moon, and the patron of demons and master of evil elementals. Finally there is Archeon, the omnipotent and noninterfering androgynous deity of peace and balance in all things, and patron of monks and all other neutrally aligned beings. Some depraved and evil cultists also speak in hushed whispers of the Ouranos, a dark and twisted mirror of Archeon that seeks to devour the multiverse whole.
