Zardis

The nation of Zardis borders the Haglands, and it is partially in reaction to that evil which has resulted in its complete rejection of all magic. The inhabitants are dour and puritanical, and any individual accused of practicing magic receives a swift trial before being found guilty and being executed.
The most concerning aspect of Zardis is the anti-magic field which covers the entire nation and prevents any spellcasting of any kind within it. Nobody outside the field knows how it is created, only that it is slowly expanding. Within the field, inquisitors and witch-hunters of the Links of Tyranix scour the population for any sign of deviance or nonconformity, swiftly punishing those they deem guilty. Azorian spies have attempted to penetrate the border and discover the source of the anti-magic field, but have uniformly been discovered and executed in short order.
The wizards of Azoria watch Zardis with a great deal of concern, and have formulated battle plans in the event the Zardiz attempt to forcibly expand their realm. There have not been any signs of this happening yet, due to the fiercely isolationist and xenophobic attitude of the Zardin people, but the remorselessly expanding anti-magic field is considered a sure indication of future plans.
