Knightly orders exist to represent Ideals and their protection, Undeath represents to many the rejection of ideals. Sentries of Life stand in opposition to Undeath in all of its forms. 
Life Sentries swore vows to combat the influence of Undeath  wherever it might strike across the Omniverse.
