WORLDEMBER IS HERE!!!!!

I pledge to write 50,000 words+ of worldbuilding during December!"
While I enjoy WorldEmber as much as the next person, I am torn between a total of four worlds. Below are links to each world with a tad-bit of description for each:

Darkness Moon Chronicles

The Darkness Moon Chronicles (or DMC for short) is based upon a collection of book series written by me. There is the Bound Series, a prequel to the main series, the Shadows Series. These series follow a group of heroes actively working to stop the dark forces that threaten their world.
Join Kěith Cheonsa and Jack McClain in the Bound Series as they adventure to stop a 500 year war while keeping the peace and perhaps battle a goddess or two on their journey.
Oliver McKinney and Deidrick Howl, from the Shadows Series, have always been outsiders growing up, but that doesnt stop this duo from uncovering a malicious plot stirring up within the paranormal government that threatens the alliance between all species, and could easily plunge everything into an unending nightmare.

Raining Fire

In the world of Raining Fire, everything you know about Greek and Norse mythology is a lie. There is no such thing as "gods" and while mortals believe Olympus or Valhalla is in the sky and the Underworld and Hel are, well, underground, they are really just the fae realm. The fae consider mortals interest and often manipulate mortals further into believing such stories.
In reality, each of the major "gods" have a kingdom they run, which is part of a much bigger empire. The Norse run their side of things, while the Greek have a totally different view of things. However, war has risen since Odin Bloodfang stole the Laufey throne for himself.
This world is in the very rough stages of beginning.

The Hidden Origins

Image Earth with an alternate history...with aliens. I've rewritten this world so many times, but it keeps trying to pushed a warped, negative view of the Catholic religion on me. I am not religious, so I want to stay far, far away from that. Now, after a year and a half of thinking it over, I think I have the perfect idea...
Time travel meets aliens on an alternative history of Earth. This will be based heavily on an old fanfiction I wrote where a time agent travels through history to thwart other villainous time travels of the alien species that threaten to destroy humanity by enslaving them...without their knowledge.
This world is in the very rough stages of beginning.
Hidden Origins

Twisted Words Equal Twisted Minds...

The Aegialeus Solar System

Where the stars align is spin-off series of the Alpha Saga, a sequel series to the Bound Series.

Spoilers continue from here on out...

Kěith, Jack, and most of their friends have made it off their home planet before it exploded. Now traveling the stars in search of a new home, the crew of the HSWW Starfall must servive deadly new creatures and alien planets that will literally eat them alive. Oh, and Kěith and Jack have a set of twin pups on the way during all of this!
This world is in the very rough stages of beginning.
The Aegialeus Solar System
Each world has its own merit, but I feel that I'm going to get "Worldbuilder's disease" if I stick with the same world (DMC) and not branch out. I also understand that I have been working on the DMC world for quite some time now and while I am mainly focused on that franchise of books, I do not want to neglect my other series.
If anyone is willing, I'll accept any advice on which worlds to focus on.

Goals:
  • If it is the Aegialeus Solar System or the Hidden Origins, I need to flesh out a lot various locations, settlements, characters, species, etc.
  • Any stubs that are below 50 words and previously unpublished before the date of Dec. the 1st, I will attempt to fit them into the list of articles I will write during WorldEmber.
  • To complete all the WorldEmber 2021 prompts this year and perhaps add in some other prompts from previous Summer Camps!

I'm setting the bar pretty low for myself this year. 50k right after a 140k NaNo is a break for me!

With so many worlds, 50K seems like it won't be hard at all. I have no advice on which to focus on. Just start with whatever is brightest and clearest in your mind, and keep going from there.

My vote is not so much for a world, but I always enjoy reading a fleshed out species article.

Feel free to stop by some of my WorldEmber articles if you want. My favorites are The Book of the Unquiet Dead, Outpost of the Moons, and The Emerald Hills. Feedback is always appreciated.
