Apep's hunting ground

Apep's hunting ground is an acidic rainforest, full of creatures and plants not seen anywhere else. Ilapor goes through the center of this forest and is in large part the reason of its existance.

Geography

This forest lays at the turning point of the river, Ilapor, where it turns towards the south. One of the strangest things is that this location seems really out of place. In the middle of a desert where the attitude can very quite drastically, which isn't suited for this type of plantlife at all.

Fauna & Flora

Because of the Drool of Ammit the ground and grass all have are dark pickle green. There are large puddles across these woods filled with acid and if that wasn't fun enough some creatures use it as a cover to strike out to their next meal.

Fauna

One of these creatures that calls these lands its home is the Titanak which is a giant constricter snake about 15 meters (50 feet) long. Its skin colours match the ground so that even though how massive of a creature it still uses stealth to catch its prey of guard.   The Litorson is one of its smaller inhabitants however don't let its size fool you. This is a green frog that that spit acids from it mouth that will eat through almost anything. So be very careful to not encounter one within the wouds, or otherwise say goodbye to a limb or your life.   Verlacis is an odd species it has a head simular to that of a butterfly and the body of a hawk. It is all black with the wings and eyes being green. When it strikes it uses it wings to pull acid from underneith the wings and shoots it of against its prey. After killing it it continues to dissolve the creature and suck it in through its tube like tongue.

Flora

the Scalva flower is something highly sought after by the Abarnissions. This flower allows Ze'i's presents to made and effectively produced.   The trees stand quite far apart, however their leaves and brances block the sky in some part completely. Some travelers have used this interesting feature of the rainforest as a last resort to protect themself from the Drool of Ammit. The outer layer of the tree trunks are almost all shaped like scales making them far harder to climb than other trees.   Linbar is one of the only things within the forest that goes against its normal themes of working with acid. This mushroom has the capability to resist acids themself. Though a proper way to use this to the peoples advantage hasn't been found yet considering how limited they are.

History

Apep's hunting grounds has been something very sought after for the nearby villages to have for themselves. Abarnis and Ulvanis have fought a war over this land. On who gains the right to hunt and gather within this forest, however after seven years worth of fighting Abarnis's pharoah saw this was a futile prolongment of bloodshet. He made a peace offering to make ament over the people who had unfortunately lost their lives in that war. The gift was accepted and they came to an aggreement that those hunting grounds were neutral territory. The spoils of the creatures could be taken with the one that had killed it and the fauna belong to the one that plucked it.   A few years after the agreement was set into brick. There was a hunting group from Abarnis that snuck within the forest, preying on any creature that was already fighting another group either with abarnissions or Ulvanissions. This group than stole the final hit and claimed it was theirs considering they had killed the creature and those were the rules. The first two times they let it happen however after the third time, the Spiked hunters gathered their troups and in small numbers went out specifically hunting them. This rule was afterward changed to prevent people from stealing somebody elses prey. This is now told to Abarnission children a story of how those hunters might have been correct within the official rights, however if the spirit of the rule is not considered than consequence will come.

Tourism

This isn't a touristic landmark. It is quite the journey to get to place and it is writhing with dangers within the forest itself.
