UNCon Criminal Justice Tower, Earth

  • The UNCon Criminal Justice Tower is a massive tower within the capital city of Pendragon, rising a staggering 9,993 feet above the massive city. It was constructed in 2294, oversaw by the Master of the Court.
  • The tower has many purposes within the justice tower, acting as the police station, jail, courts, and prison.
  • While both an amazing sight for tourists and a grim warning for would-be criminals, the UNCon CJT has been plagued with controversies, corruption, and brutality since the later part of the 2400s, giving it an extremely negative public view.

Controversies

  • Because the CJT is such a massive tower, it has attracted tourists from around the globe, over ten million people per year flock to its base. This has not only proved to be dangerous, but there are also many cases of people disappearing and dying randomly within its walls, leading many people to believe either that the government is not pumping enough oxygen into the depths of the tower, or that they are poisoning, weakening or attempting to control the people who enter their justice tower.

Corruption

  • Judges within the CJT are appointed for 25 year periods, which is enough time for prosecutors and lawers to determine whether they can win the case, or not. This gives them an opportunity to extort their clients for extra money or concessions.
  • Jailers and police officers who work within the building often accept bribes from the inmates in turn for information, contact with the outside world, and material goods.

Brutality

  • The massive prison that lies within the Criminal Justice Tower can hold nearly 20,000 inmates at peak capacity. Gangs, drug lords, and mafia bosses roam the hallways of the prison, beating up and in some cases, killing those they dislike without fear of punishment from the guards they pay off.
