Lumonday, Alnea

  • The Lumonday is a very special day for many people within Alnea, which is held once every three years at the start of the new year.
  • It is held in Lumonville every three years, making that location popular among tourists and people who wish to set up their shops before the massive celebration begins.
  • The moon on Alnea comes to rest in the middle of the sky for an entire week, disrupting its usual cycle and freezing in place for an unknown reason. Whatever the reason may be, Alneans spend this week partying nonstop under a nonchanging sky.
  • Each group is responsible for bringing their own supplies, however, many items can be bought in the countless shops set up and operated by world-famous craft smiths, alchemists, and magicians, all willing to sell their crafts at an extremely high price.

Festivities

  • While there is no set schedule for massive events, everyone is allowed and encouraged to bring a show along with them. The Lumonday festival has birthed many popular shows and plays, bringing famous actors and musicians into the large festival as well.
  • Some of the small yet extremely popular venues include Horse racing, duels, art contests, cooking contests, and many more.
  • Lumonday is also a festival where all the prominent inventors and scholars congregate and show off their spectacular modern inventions and concepts, inspiring the next generation of builders and inventors.

The Lumonday Massacre of 1977

  • On the 659th Lumonday festival, a gang of murders killed over three hundred festival-goers, casting incineration and destruction magic upon the masses.
  • This prompted the immediate reconsidering of the event security, and new and inventive ways of defending people were born from the inventions brought to the event that year, including the Magical Nullification Emitter, which are now used commonly within major cities and events.
