The Gray One

Many animals, squires mostly padded to and from the stump, most arrived or left with a small package or anAcorn Cap. As dusk fell the steady stream of animals lessened and a few Dream Theifs and Darkfaires made their way to the old fairies home. 
Many believe the gray one to be little more than one of the elder fay from a time before the Great Conflict but in reality she takes on many forms. Beyond the form she outwardly presents she also assumes a form to deal with each of the tribes individually. She uses this deception to sway the politics and to keep the tribes from fully be at ease with one another.
She is a master at both light and dark magics and will use either to suit her deeds. Many faires in all tribes owe her a favor or two but many do not realize the power she holds over them as her plans are so complicated many will never fully appreciate their part.
One example may be to have an apprentice baker leave a fresh loaf of bread out knowing one of the Mud Boys may help himself to it. Once he brings the fresh bread back to The Pipe his companions may suggest racing for the first bite. Once the race begins the gray one may engineer one of the competitors to get hurt and be there to offer/ trade for the assistance.
