The Court Accord

The four leaders of the four tribes met to discuss their future and the future of their peoples. Knowing they could not go on fighting each other especially with the ever encroaching humans they made a pact that all future conflict would be handled by way of law, not by the spear.    The pact dictated that each lord would rule their domain and the rites of succession would be left to each tribe. The last month of the lunar year would be a time for The Fairy Court to hear and settle tribe wide grievances. This would immediately be followed by month of games and competition to start the new year bring the tribes back together and reminding them that peace they enjoy and born out of the struggles and battles of their past.    The accord is not permanently binding as Mountain Tribe was suspicious of making deals that would live longer than the rocks they lived on. Grandma Toad was also weary of committing the children who would be born into the Mud Tribe to a contract they had no part in forming. Thus it was decided that every 33 years when the lunar cycle would reset and match the solar cycle the accords would need to be made anew.

Purpose

The purpose of the Court Accords was to bring an end to the Settling Wars and to create The Fairy Court. The pact also help solidify the shared culture of the tribes and set some of their favorite celebrations in motion.
