Teleportation Circles

Deep in the old wood covered by the growth of the forest, are the remnants of circles marked in stone and etched into the earth through eons of magical use, and the passage of the fairy. These circles once connected the many regions of the mountain, valley, and even the world. This allowed the fae to travel vast distances in the blink of an eye. However, they like many things of the old world no longer work and the magics used to craft them have been lost.

Utility

If the circles can be made to run they would allow the faires to travel and see the wonders of the world as they once did. However, now they are used as a place of power where some of the fey have learned to draw upon their energy.

Manufacturing

No one knows the true origin of the teleportation rings as they were old when the ancient faires walked the land
Access & Availability
The ruins are accessible to all and many faeries will often visit them when they feel especially disconnected with their past. Even though they are inoperable, the feel and resonate magics in them provide a calming introspective energy for the fae to draw upon.
Complexity
The rings no longer work and it is thought that this is due to the encroachment of man and the electrification of the world. The rings first started to malfunction then stop working completely as the humans started harnessing electricity and running wires everywhere.
Discovery
The rings have been known to the faeries who live around them. Their use and lore was passed down through the generations.

Working Rings

There are rumors of working rings in the most remote places of the world but none of the fae who have gone looking for such devices, or the tribes of faires that live so far and disconnected, form the more human filled world have returned to tell of their discoveries.
