Strehonia

Strehonia is a land not of sorcery and divine magic, but where intelligence and ingenuity are most important. It is a land where magic used to be part and parcel of life, but after a catastrophic event known as the Uncoupling, life changed drastically. When the Over-god Ao sundered Abeir-Toril for the first time in the Forgotten Realms, Strehonia's less powerful pantheon of gods were helpless to stop the chaos that ensued. The gods were forced away form their world, leaving them unable to grant divine magic to champions of their faith. It also left arcane spellcasters with unstable magic, causing odd effects at random. This is why technology is very prominent in Strehonia. Most magic is now left dormant, and magical items are replaced with tech equivalents. Some folk try to harness the wild magic still present, but this is a very difficult task.
