Session 12: The Road to Grudd Haug

Blaze, Leia and Ravenhawk meet up within Everlund and catch up on the previous events of the last week. Then Spymaster Krowen more depth explains what the Harpers learned about happened to Bryn Shander and Triboar (the two places they didn’t defend) and how that has effected the realm. Krowen explains how the North has been falling under Frost Giant assaults and a magical neverending brutal winter, but that Varoth Braveheart Kakanu and his tribe has been holding the critical Spine of the World mountain range and slowing the Frost Giants from taking key city of Luskan.
Krowen then explains that Triboar was leveled and burned to ashes by Fire Giants and many big pieces of the Vonindod were pulled out of Triboar and the surrounding region. He further explains that Parnast and the surrounding region has fallen silent and is rumoured to be under some relaxed form of Stone Giant Control.
No word of Cloud Giant or Storm Giant movements or sightings. Krowen shows the weakening influence and strength of the hill giants and that most of their forces are consolidated at Grudd Haug and are still plaguing the surrounding areas with raids and destroying parts of the high forest for timber to fortify their positions.
They thanked Krowen for all his invaluable intelligence and leave Everlund as quickly as they can. Ravenhawk instructs Quinn Silverleaf and his 200 rangers to meet up with Timber outside Grudd Haug and get as much actionable intelligence as possible, before their arrival. Blaze, Leia, and Ravenhawk make their way southeast to the edge of the high forest, just as Ravenhawk's vision from the Grand Father Tree had told him to do. There in an ancient grove, Representatives from the Tree Ghost Tribe and Ravenhawk's Sister Morgwais were having a heated argument at arrow point. Ravenhawk was able to successfully convince his sister that he did not mean any harm and did not want the throne of the Wood Elf realm, that he had been sent by the Grandfather tree itself and that both groups must head the call to peace or else the high forest will fall and every living being, tree, human, and elf within in will die.
Morgwais accepted and stated that the Wood Elves would stay to their own glades and groves and sent a diplomatic contingent to the sacred Grandfather tree grove in good faith but would not provide military assistance against the Hill Giants. The Elder Shaman of the Tree Ghost Tribe bitterly accepted and likewise pledged to pull her people back towards the western edges of the high forest and maintain their largest settlement around the Grandfather Tree and work towards fostering a beneficial peace in with the Wood elves. The Elder revealed her own vision from the Grandfather tree to Ravenhawk privately and thanked him for trusting in the Grandfather tree and the powers of nature and that so few do these days. She pledged to him a small group of 25 Uthgarde berserkers to protect him in the assault on Grudd Haug and bid him farwell.
Shortly after this the party set off southward towards Grudd Haug, several days later just before arriving to the agreed upon location to meet female Hill Giant Moog, the party encountered a powerful Fire Giant who was searching for a piece of the Vonindod. The party attempted to broker with the Fire Giant and almost were able to carry on their merryway but the Fire Giant was able to piece together that the party were the heroes of Goldenfields, and that her Fire Giant honour compelled her to duel them being apart of Duke Zalto "rebel" faction.
A bloody battled ensued which the party won firmly, then they hurried to the meeting location.
