Session 11: Inner Circles
Blaze and Leia arrive in Waterdeep and while talking with the noblewoman Louise, Leia discovered that the Lang family and House Thann had been allies for quite some time and that the information given by Zi Lang to Blaze might make more sense perhaps to Caulder Thann the elderly patriach of House Thann, Louise warns Leia and Blaze that he can be quite senile and a very powerful magician and directs them to his residence.
Once there Blaze and Leia present Zi’s pendant and he explains that she has bequeathed her inheritance to them. Blaze and Leia are equal parts confused and excited. In a blink of an eye an Unseen servant brings a chest and key to him with a clap which he opens, Blaze and Leia receive two powerful magic items. Caulder cryptically reveals himself to Blaze to be a harper agent, and recognizes her lower rank. He willinging grants information to the whereabouts of Waterdeep's Harper teleportation circle.
Caulder says that Lady Aerasume (Leia) will make great use of her helmet to further their quest against the giant threat. Blaze and Leia thank Caulder and depart for the hidden Teleportation circle beneath the city streets. Along the way Leia is met in the street by Chaz Luthorn accompanied by his small silver dragon wyrmling "Irizzorl".
Irizzorl spoke in draconic to ease her worries and explained they were there to inform her about a family member who could help her against the Giants and that they received word from Naxene at Goldenfields about her heroics and wanted to help. Chaz just nods grumpily. "Claugiyliamatar" or Old Gnawbones as she is known resides in the Kryptgarden Forest, she a tricksey and ancient Green Dragon but has many many secrets and knowledge that could help the party defeat the Giant threat, at a price of course.
Leia thanked the dragon for its assistance and bid them farewell. Shortly thereafter Blaze and Leia arrive to the secret teleportation circle and are greeted by Harper Spymaster Krowen. Krowen explained the magical circles and how they must be attuned to first before being able to be traveled to and that Leia could attune her helmet to these locations for even greater ease of access. She accepted and spent the next 5 days rigorously attuning all locations to her helmet. Krowen explains to Blaze that Everlund would be the closest location to travel to in order to get close to Kryptgarden Forest.
Blaze and Leia teleport to Everlund straight away and as soon as they arrive they receive a sending stone message from Ravenhawk detailing his travels and that he too has arrived in Everlund and needs their assistance. However before departing to meet with Ravenhawk, Blaze is given a detailed map by a different looking Krowen in everlund, detailing rough positions, happenings, and war-time intelligence of the Giant threats, kingdoms, and territory.
