Session 10: The Grandfather Tree Calls

After 3 days hard travel, Ravenhawk, Greymane, and Mani all arrived safely at Shadowtop Cathedral. Ravenhawk quickly met up with Thorn, who granted him another rank within the Emerald Enclave for his efforts at Goldenfields. Thorn then directed him to meet with master druid Aerglas in the druid circle.
Ravenhawk met with Aerglas and together the two sat down and ate mushrooms. Soon thereafter spirit visions took place and Aerglas and Ravenhawk were able to talk directly with the Grandfather tree. The Grandfather tree revealed Ravenhawk's destiny, to reunite the Wood Elves of the High forest and the Tree Ghost Tribe of Uthgarde barbarians as his Father and Mother united their blood through Ravenhawk. The tree went on to explain the necessity of destroying the Hill Giant stronghold of Grudd Haug and that he must help his friends first in order for these events to come to pass. The Grandfather tree tasked Ravenhawk with Taking the young Treant kin named Timber and seek out a ranger named Quinn Silverleaf in the small fort town of Everlund far to the north. There they will gain the necessary allies to take on Grudd Haug and defeat Lord Guh. The vision ended and Ravenhawk thanked Aerglas for his help and was introduced to Timber. Later that evening Ravenhawk, Greymane, Mani, and Timber all set out for Everlund. Timber assisted in cutting down the travel time by Tree striding through trees once a day, making the journey only 4 days long. On the last day before arriving at Everlund Ravenhawk and friends came upon a group of hill giants and goblins tearing apart a small patch of forest to be used as wood for construction at Grudd Haug, Timber lost his temper and went on a rampage, the battle was fierce but the Giants and goblins stood no chance and were absolutely obliterated. Timber told Ravenhawk that he would gather nearby Dryads and tree folk and march towards Grudd Haug to avenge the forests the Hill Giants had defiled, Timber said he would wait until Ravenhawk arrived at Grudd Haug before assaulting. Ravenhawk continued on his way to Everlund.
Once there he was met at the gates by Master Ranger Quinn Silverleaf, Ravenhawk described his quest and predicament to Quinn, Quinn told Ravenhawk that he too had received a vision from the Grandfather tree and had been instructed to wait for Ravenhawk and that he had been dutifully doing so for over 50 years. He pledged his allegiance and some 200 rangers to Ravenhawk's cause. Ravenhawk used his sending stone to send a message to Leia and Blaze informing them of the situation and the occurances. To his surprise they had just recently arrived in Everlund via a teleportation circle earlier that day. With a skip in his step he hurried to met with his friends.
