Maximilian Gyllenroos is the current Prince of the The Stockholm Camarilla.

Appearance

A tall and attractive man that looks like he just stepped out of an 18th century painting, with short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He wears long, old-fashioned coats, often brandishes a sword or a cane and speaks in an unbearably posh accent.
Aside from the rather striking appearance, the first thing that strikes the onlooker will be the smell as an avalanche of fragrances from various expensive perfumes washes over them in an almost overbearing way. It is widely suspected that some kind of psychedelic substances are mixed in there to enhance his social dominance when non-kindred are present.

History

Early Life

Maximilian is just as old as his peculiar choice of outfit would imply as he began his life as a minor Swedish noble in the late 17th century. Not much is knows about his youth as he first enters historical record when joining King Carolus the XII's army in the Great Northern War. He fought by the king's side in all major campaigns, from Poland to Russia and finally Norway. His life would take an unsuspected turn when, in December of 1718, a Norwegian Ventrue took a liking to the spirit of this young man and decided to embrace him into the unlife of the Kindred.

Vampire in Norway

The exact circumstances of Maximilian's early life as a vampire are not known, but it is widely assumed that he stayed in Norway and was mentored by the Norwegian Ventrue in the ways of the Camarilla. From that point, he slowly and methodically climbed the ranks of vampire high society over the coming few centuries until he found himself as the right hand man of the Camarilla's ruler in Norway. However, life would take an unexpected turn for the prospective nobleman as the Norwegian Anarch uprising of 1945 when the Camarilla, who had decided to back the Nazi occupation, was overthrown and replaced with several free states. Maximilian was forced to flee in order to save his own life in shame.

Prince of Stockholm

The failure of the Camarilla in Norway deeply affected Maximilian and, as he fled back to his home country, he refused to let similar weakness spread to other strongholds of civilization and order. Without much difficulty, he quickly ousted the existing Camarilla representatives in Stockholm and replaced them with his own loyalists before beginning a brutal purge of any suspected "agents of disorder". Before his arrival, the different Kindred sects of Stockholm were quite happy to leave each other alone in their part of town, but Maximilian's purges quickly turned the city into a battleground as the Anarchs and Sabbat were driven from the city center. With what he considers the heart of the nation in his firm grip, the new Prince looks towards stabilizing his new domain and removing any threats to civilization and order.
