The Gleam

The Gleam is a source of energy that exists throughout the Stinneran system, it is usually invisible to the naked eye but higher concentrations can be seen as glowing ethereal wisps of glowing white light.

The Gleam fuels many aspects of life in Stinnera due to much of the flora and fauna having evolved to utilises it in some fashion for survival, additionally the spell casting of Stinneran Gleam Carvers (mages) utilises the Gleam as it's fuel source.

Much of where the Gleam comes from and how it operates is unknown, but scholars of Stinnera's history have discovered in the ruins of the ancient ones that the Gleam can take states other than it's commonly known gaseous form.

Additionally some ancient tablets and murals found within the ruins beneath the steam city of Emberhaven state that it is possible for Gleam to be imprinted with a will, causing it to transform into something else entirely; considering that there is no evidence of this ever happening scholars and Gleam Carvers believe that this is just folklore and superstition on the ancient people's part.
