The Heart-Shaped Bay

Quintessa. The land of medicine of technological advancements. This nation is known to have more fluid laws to prevent intervention of creating and saving. It has a unique culture, despite being the most advanced nation in Paradenia, the citizens live as their ancestors have in the past. They prioritize life and advancement of everything living. It is that sole reason why motorized vehicles don’t exist. Why make machines when you can make cyborg-dinosaurs?

A Goblin History

Before Paradenia was founded, it was a continent under the control of the goblinkin. After years of war, the vast majority of the goblins were forced out of the continent, while those who remained served under the royal family. Quintessa, known to be the last stronghold of the goblinkin army, kept the architecture of the goblinkin as part of the culture. There are many unique trinkets, weapons, and magical items forged by goblinkin. Symbiotic items are one of the few bizarre things you can find in Quintessa.

Welcome to Triassic Park

The Talenta Plains. A vast land that separates the capitol of Quintessa from the other nations. It stretches out across the mid-south of Paradenia, encompassing many prehistoric creatures- most famously being dinosaurs. Triassic Park is a main attraction of Quintessa that many tourists visit the Talenta plains to visit, sight-see or hunt such dinosaurs. Please be warned that the people of Quintessa are not held responsible if you are eaten by one.

Love is in the air

Despite the brutal history of this nation, Quintessa is a nation of tradition, growth and romance. If you travel far enough south, you are met with the biggest beach in Paradenia. Soft sand meets the cool waves as far as the eyes can see. Quintessa's Bay is known for its luxury resorts and romanticism culture. It is said those who find a partner at Quintessa Bay are bound for a long happy life.

When Tradition and Science Blend

Many citizens of Quintessa are halflings and gnomes. The culture in Quintessa is very tribal despite the technological advancements. Gnomes are known to be the scientists of the nation, often pushing for higher reaches in technological advances. They typically reside in the city. Halflings carry the culture of the nation. Halflings are tribal, and mostly resides in the frontiers and in the Talenta plains with dinosaurs. 
The union of the halflings, with their understanding of the land and dinosaurs, and gnomes, using their superior knowledge and skills, brought forth a powerful military force known as the Quintessa Rangers. There is a special bond between a halfling rider and their dinosaur-mount that is farmed when the rider captures and domesticates their own beast. In addition, the halfling rider has a hunt-mask which further establishes their connection with their own unique mount.

The Fall

In the late summer of 750, Quintessa has fell under siege by a goblinkin army led by “Redbeard”. The capitol itself was razed to the ground. The attack was via air and sea, segregating Quintessa from the rest of Paradenia. The invasion from two fronts prompted the fall of the nation, now under complete suppression and control by goblinkin once more. 
The Quintessa rangers are a fraction of what they used to be, and survivors are now enslaved as enslaved workforce for the goblinkin. The warfront in south of Paradenia for Quintessa continues to this day.
