Collegium

In Stellarium Arcane magic is a science, and the collegium and people use it in everyday lives. The Collegium is the Paradenian arcane facility that governs and pioneers the arcane studies. In Paradenia, it is mandatory for all who are able to manipulate the arcane to enroll, the methods of mandatory enrollment is decided by the respective nations.

While the gates to the Collegium can be found in Raverius, it serves as a ward and way of teleporting students to the true campus location. No one except the gran council knows the true location of the Collegium.

Many mages and wandslingers study at the collegium for different reasons. Be it to create new spells, revise old laws on the schools of magic, or even dedicate their lives to researching the draconic prophecy. The Collegium is first and foremost a sanctum for knowledge.

But there are those who refuse to accept the status quo of arcane use. People who oppose the Collegium and their laws are classified as Rogue arcanists. To protect the populace and prevent these individuals from possible harm, the Collegium created the arcane prison known as the Sanctum. A hidden prison that nullifies all magic, leaving naught but a void in the hearts of its prisoners. It serves as a reminder that the arcane is nothing more than a resource, and it’s only how the user uses that determines right and wrong.
