Thodyz'Orgha/Hole-In-Water

Thodyz'Orgha, or Hole-In-Water now, is a huge multi-millennial city reputed for his particular shape : An external city which leads into a subterranean and gigantic city-monument, with the Korea'Cos and Aneant'Yr's tombs.
What's Hole-In-Water ? Well, first it's not the original name of this city, it's Thodyz'Orgha, like the ol'Kharises decided on the colonization. Unlike what its name tells, it's not only a hole into water, it's a mythic, magisterial and fascinating place ! As an artist, photograph known through the whole Paranis sector, I have to say that's truly amazing, mainly for only 2 facts ! First, take photos of where probably the moooooost powerful fight of the known universe happens is pretty much very symbolic for me, I interested myself pretty much into the Kharis guys, and it allows me to get this wonderful thing !
He shows his camera, which looks like nothing known.
Also.. Believe it or not, but from what I heard, this place got to be the first designated place of the neutral places part of the TIL.. Why do I say that ? Well, it's because Hole-In-Water is basically the most heterogeneous city I have ever seen.. Sometimes it's a bit Pure Kharis, sometimes it's a bit Grimms.. But here ! But here ! It's made of sooo much building styles : Ancient Kharis, Grimms, Pure Kharises, Edgazes and even medium class Humans structures !
Naiev Sviatoslav, known photograph, in a quote in a common newsletter of the CSUN.

History

Thodyz'Orgha is a city actually considered as sacred, which endured 3 extremely different reigns.

Thodyz'Orgha

Originally, Thodyz'Orgha was a Kharis colonial city which has been started to be built on -256 B.A., but on 114, with the recent separation between Pure Kharises and Grimms, the city has been claimed to the Pure Kharises. The city has been originally built as a commercial main point, due to his proximity with a lot of water and huge limestone, iron and aluminium veins. Between -256 B.A. and 114, only 2 mayors were there : Deyhuj'Nalya until the Pure Kharis claimed then Korea'Cos. Under the First Infinity Templar lead, the city nearly gained 6 times more inhabitants on 4 years, and became at this period a huge prolific commercial point in the Opafis star system.

The Terkanium

On 387 P.A., a Grimms arrived in the city, Aneant'Yr, fearing most people with his determined and scary walk. Guards wanted to stop it walk in the direction of the Mayor Hall, where Korea'Cos was distributing tasks to newcomers, but each one got knocked back meters away with simple hand movements.. He finally arrived to the building minutes later, beating easily almost an hundred armed people. Entering without any fear, he gave a confident smile from his red and pale face to Korea'Cos, who was still giving numerous papers to some humans and Pure Kharises. His head was surrounded by a natural helmet looking like a ram fused with a prism, with 3 long claw scars going from the helmet to the bottom of his crystal nose, which looks like fractured, scattered due to the scars.   A fight started at this moment, destroying few walls -including the Mayor Hall ones-, then started to drill, to bore the mountain, through the waterfall. Korea'Cos and Aneant'Yr started to fight them in a long loop, trading psionic and Grimmis energy balls and melee fight. The shock waves continually striving resound, fearing the fauna through their charges. Korea'Cos uses a long sword which emits psionic energy and stock it with few Lunotillium little shards in the guard, acting as a battery, whereas Aneant'Yr uses a Manriki chain, choking his adversary's throat multiple times.   On minutes passing, psychic explosions chained against the mountain like if it was only a formality for the 2 fighters, or more precisely, in the growing cavern. Because of the huge tension and electric instability of the air, surrounding plants were like consuming themselves without burning really, and the mountain still gets destroyed by the fight. A smoke started to rise up. Aneant'Yr disappeared from Korea's visual field, whereas dust was starting to fall, slowly. He continued to search through the almost fifty meters of tunnels they dig up without paying attention.. Aneant rushed through the whole cavern, dust fallen hardly and suddenly, rocks were falling appart.   After dozens seconds of pure chaos and no vision from the 2 Kharises, Aneant'Yr appeared in front of Korea'Cos, in a relatively deep hole, dome, destroyed by them. The zone was vast, almost as big as a town, with a circular formation, similar to a ring. Korea approached slowly with levitation, to his adversary, looking exhausted.. He thrown a Grimmis energy ball into Korea'Cos direction, which he avoided easily with a simple move.. He looked unstoppable in this situation. He continues to float slowly.. Slowly.. Only few meters separate him from Aneant. A huge denotation is heard, Korea watch surprised upward, boulders were falling from the ceiling of the cave, then dirt, grass and even trees, a crater has been formed.

Buried and Artifact

Korea'Cos buried, Aneant'Yr gets up, looking happy for his perfect stratagem, but his face gets back bleak, when a huge Essentia wave from the screes pile. With this only blast, the entire pile of rocks is consumed and ejected with force. And Korea'Cos is still there, levitating, injured, with a gaping hole in his wombs, but still alive. He take a bit of time to take back his mind, whereas the Essentia of his body regenerated the damaged organs, forming an energy shield on the wound. Aneant'Yr, swearing, started thanks a Melenis Artifacts, the Permentium he started to dig up fastly a long tunnel by using the titanic amount of energy granted by the artifact, causing him to dig for long minutes until get on a less heavier stone. The power of the forage is that matter is reduced at a dust state, causing the respiration extremely hard, causing him to try to hold his breath to not suffocate and aspirate possibly dangerous materials from the mining.

Korea'Cos used his enhanced senses, especially hearing to shot numerous chaotic and destructive spells to defeat his foe. Using a camouflage veil, Aneant'Yr quickly finished to dig his corridor, running in and leading to a huge cave, similar to the one they caused, but natural. Badly for him, this zone like the others was still very unstable, and the ceiling of the cave started to collapse on him, causing a way bigger entry to appear, as well to another crater to the surface. Korea'Cos still travel the only path visible for him, dig up by Aneant'Yr, unluckily loosing his trace.

End of Prodigy

Floating forward, he finally sees Aneant'Yr who was awaiting a new time in the ground, and shoot a psionic implosions on him. Quickly, he sees that was an illusion, a clone, and he received a psionic ball directly in his face, consuming most of his last shields. Looking backward, he saw his powerful, defying opponent behind a natural pillar and started to continuously shoot at him. The pillars getting destroyed, Aneant'Yr was snooping quickly, using a new time the Permentium to reinforce his run and energy power massively for a backlash of a permanent loss manipulable energy but, he's still shooting some Grimmis orbs sometimes..   The formation of pillars collapsing one after one, the ceiling started to fall apart simultaneously. A stalactite impaled Korea'Cos in heart, reinforced by Aneant'Yr's Grimmis, falling on the ground and spitting blood through his body hole and mouth. Aneant'Yr took his weapon, his Manriki chains, and pierced multiple new time Korea'Cos in his 2 lungs, liver and stomach, concluding the fight, and the life of Korea'Cos. He started to walk back to the city, through the gigantic cavern.   Now a city, starting a Grimms king reign over 700 years, until 1359, when Aneant'Yr died of old age. At this moment the Grimms there, who were ancient Pure Kharises, massively left the city, with 2 big daggers in their hearts.

Hole-In-Water

Nowadays, Hole-In-Water, like named by the humans who took back the city, is a huge commercial place -like it was as original aim-, but also an important sacred place.

Axen Migration

When the humans from Axen migrated to Thodyz'Orgha, -who was nearly at an abandon state after the old age-death of Aneant'Yr- the first immigrated (~200 000 humans) declared themselves as the first humans in there. They talked a bit with the last hundreds Grimms there ; which said to just keep their actual habitations in the Citadel of Two Damned and fields ; then blocked the city to any other sapient living form, built up a temporary government to distribute the agriculture lands.   Days passed and passed, a new law appeared in the city, the underground habitable part became accessible to everybody, and the city opened his borders to the world : It became possible to buy pretty much any house in the city. At this moment, the richer humans relocate themselves in the citadel's city for excessive prices, under the Kharises eyes, whereas some peoples migrated a new time at the borders of the city's field of leading (following the Grimms indications), forming little house packs, and sort of dedicated farms. This way, those peoples preferred tranquility and finished by forming 11 little towns. Few times later, the first humans there started to sell Kharis old things, after dismantling and analyzing them, whereas another humans abound in the city now named, Hole-In-Water.

Prosperity and Commercial Peak

The recensed sold Kharis things highly interested some others Kharises, including Pure ones and Grimms, which implanted themselves in the city, repairing up most of unused things, explaining the racial diversity. What can be noticed is that due to the huge growth, an another law suit appeared : There is a 10 to 20% tax on more or less every resources produced on the planet, the rest being freely used by the producer. After this law, far away producers -even through teleporters, who have a huge energetic cost- had economic problems due to the distance fused with the tax, so they had to export their products to other planets, solar system have a larger income.   Later, commercial links begin to be built, amplifying, upgrading the teleporters to make them economic and able to transport more mass, helping massively the farther farmers. That's how the Pure Kharis begin to be more than never implied in the human quotidian life. That's also through those technological improvements that some people started to plant exotic and unique fruits and vegetables.

Treaty of the Interracial Limits

In the TIL (Treaty of the Interracial Limits), the city of Thodyz'Orgha, the Duality Mortuum and his influence zone to be a place of peace and armistice. Any war which would be caused on this territory would have huge repercussions on the international domain.

Architecture

Thodyz'Orgha is a city composed of 4 major parts, taking architectural inspirations from the Ancient Kharis, the Grimms, the Pure Kharises and Humans.

The Old City

The Old City is like its name tells is the part of Thodyz'Orgha from before the decisive fight. It's built on a huge peak in the waterfall but as well to around the river, in the lower parts. Most of the structures have an Ancient Kharis architecture, made of huge blocks of limestone, granite or even marble sometimes, in square shapes. Buildings measure between 12 meters height to 120 meters, with numerous openings working as windows. The Old City also include the numerous ramparts around the city and roofs made of red tiles.

The Water Column

A long tunnel of around 1.5 kilometers of old Grimms habitations and a long artificial river caused by the titanic fight linked to the city. Probably the second thing built by the inhabitants after the end of the fight, after the Citadel of the Two Damned. This zone nowadays hold 10% of the population, 71% being non-Kharis or Human. More than 2 thirds of the population there is composed of visitors, foreigners. What can be noticed is the fact that although being a long tunnel, this place is extremely well illuminated, thanks to the numerous Psi-using Kharis lamps, enough powerful to light on a 300 meters radius.

The Citadel of the Two Damned

A huge citadel built underground, with a crater linked to the surface, producing light above the entire structure. The citadel itself is nearly composed only of Grimms habitations, but with 60% of the Pure Kharises population living in there whereas almost 35% of the Grimms population of Thodyz'Orgha live in there. To be noticed, the only way to enter the citadel is through an authorization of the city, through the Water Column and a boat. There are 3 entries, the middle one being larger, point of travel of the commercial structures whereas the 2 lateral arcades are made for civilian entry and exit.

The Patience Hall

Unlike his name wants to say is more a walking and talking agora in before the Duality Mortuum and the 6 main streets of the Citadel of the Two Damned. The Crater of Changing, directly visible from the Patience Hall lights up heavily the zone surrounding, and cause some very powerful reflects to get into the Duality Mortuum. Like it, this place is decorated a lot with black marble and a lot of shiny rubies (The only not actually synthetizable corridon), but not as much as the sacred tombs, who are decorated with hundreds Tarkoïds gems and white, black and red marble.

The Duality Mortuum

The Duality Mortuum is probably the most valued place of Thodyz'Orgha, being the reposing places of Korea'Cos, First Infinity Templar and Aneant'Yr, Korea'Cos Slayer and King of Thodyz'Orgha for hundreds years. The zone is built on where Korea'Cos corpse has been found, where it's possible to see "stars" on his mausoleum, corresponding to where he has been impaled by Aneant'Yr. This zone alone has been estimated to 457 163 282 444,96 Cronas for his historical, sacred, emblematic but also material value. The Tarkoïds surrounding the entire room sometimes don't get stabilized and cause a beautiful energetic spectacle.

The Rising City

The Rising City is a huge residential zone, which can take almost 3 millions people in its buildings. It's basically a city in the city, like the Citadel of the Two Damned. The Rising City is, as well to the citadel, a huge commercial point, mainly for all-days needed items, such as kitchen tools, furniture, food, water, Energy Phase Objects.

High Sky Ground

The High Sky Ground is a place at the roots and center of the Rising City, mainly known for the exceptional and mainly incredible point of view to the sky and every borders of every buildings and the Crater of Prosperity. It's also known for the presence of extremely numerous but friendly water snakes, due to the huge lake in his center, as well to sometimes tamer of those creatures.

Automata Calagriphia

The Automata Calagriphia, "Mechanical Claw of Grapes" is a huge natural structure looking like a huge claw of 6 points. It's around 56 km behind the walls of Thodyz'Orgha to the east. It takes his name from the fact that a lot of grapes grow on this huge hand of 40 meters and the mechanical structures set up to stabilize it.
