Brusque and lacking in bedside manners, Irene has found herself with the Delawney Gang, where her patients accept her manners out of necessity.

Personal history
Born the daughter of a scientist and a maintenance worker on Marble, Irene was sent to the inner planets to study medicine, her education paid for by Orion Group.
It was expected that she would turn her talents to working for her benefactors, but her grades were never excellent and her constant arguing with those higher up had her thrown out of university in her sixth year. Without a valid medical license, she was forced to work as a back-alley street doctor for the poor and criminals.
Returning to Shiloh System, she settled down for a time on Jackhammer's Shade, treating gangers and drug-addicts.
It was on Jackhammer's Shade she met the recently hired Durok Foresworn and, after patching him up, she was offered to come join the Delawney gang and to get off of the station.
She has been with the group for three years, patching up and gluing together whenever it is needed.
