Blind Slurock

Legend says the Slurock family of beasts are descendants of the first Giants of Starside, which Ylo herself crafted out of the earth and the stars. The blind slurock itself is one of the most in tune with the element of earth. Parts of their bodies are made from earth, and they can effortlessly terraform the land beneath them. They are able to subsist exclusively on rocks, minerals, and metals.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The blind slurock is a bulky cave dwelling beast. Their bodies are dense and sturdy, similar in build to a boulder. They have arms like a gorilla, powerful and thick, and stumpy, rock-hard fingers on their hands. Their legs are shorter, but incredibly sturdy, able to plant into the earth to provide support. They have long, thick tails, that they can swing into cave walls to smash through earth. Their heads are covered in plating, only exposed in the innards of their mouths. Each tooth is flat, designed for grinding the rubble they eat.

Genetics and Reproduction

A baby slurock has never been found. It is difficult to study slurocks, as they are territorial and solitary. It is almost impossible to approach or capture one, so their reproductive cycles are completely unknown.

Ecology and Habitats

They live deep in caves and familiarize themselves with the layout and networks of tunnels. However, if they find themselves threatened, they will imbue the power of earth within their fists and punch through cave walls, carving avenues of escape and burrowing deeper into the earth. They can be found in the caves of mountains and canyons.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Beyond eating earth and metal, the diet of a slurock is also largely unknown. Their excretions have never been seen, and it is theorized that after they have siphoned nutrients from the earth they eat, they pass on soil, like an earthworm.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have no eyes; instead, they use their geomancy to sense vibrations in the earth, able to see cave walls and anything that comes into contact with them within their minds. They do not have ears or noses, either. All of their senses are based around the earth.
