Lionheart Arms Pulse Carbine

The Lionheart Arms Pulsed Energy Carbine, colloquially known simply as the “pulse carbine”, is the standard-issue weapon (if anything could be called such) among Revenant operatives. The carbine fires rapid pulses of infrared light, though with a relatively long half-second delay between shots. However, the shots the carbine does fire are extremely powerful, with a total beam energy of 8 kJ per shot and an effective range of roughly 300 meters. Each shot drills a narrow but deep beam through a target, capable of penetrating thin bulkheads or personal armor; however, they are less likely to overshoot successfully than a ballistic weapon is. The carbine also has two alternate beam paths mounted below the regular barrel, which emit parallel beams to act as a wireless taser. The carbine is typically powered from a belt-mounted power pack or from the internal batteries of an exosuit. Pulse carbines have become the preferred weapons for shipborne operations, due to their relative safety around external bulkheads far thicker than a beam can penetrate and their dual-purpose use.
