Body Features

Ethan is a large, towering and physically fit human being.
He wears a black hoodie and a dark brown leather jacket, both open in the front to display his rainbow symbol on the T-shirt underneath. He typically keeps the hood pulled over his head, while the jacket has been modified with interior armour plating. His combat gloves (originally store-bought fingerless motorcyclist's gloves) have also been enhanced to military grade with the addition of plating on the knuckles and elsewhere. Additionally they have been equipped with a hand and fingerprint bypass tool to breach the security of well-guarded doors. He carries his signature sword, The Justicar, in a sheath on his back, underneath a small single-strap backpack.
On his lower body he wears a fairly standard comfortable pair of skinny jeans with padded knees. A utility belt around the waist provides many extra pockets and holsters for his dual pistols, one on each hip. The pistols sit above the other blades he carries: on his left hip a Japanese Katana and Tanto pair that he got as a gift, and on his right an M9 Bayonet knife. His rainbow symbol decorates his belt buckle too.
His footwear consists of knee-high combat boots, that started out as sneakers, but have since been heavily armored and strengthened so that they don't break when he starts running.
On his wrist he wears a seemingly regular-looking smart watch (originally he wore a modified version of his grandpas watch) that can display various interactive holographic projections (maps, documents, etc.). It can also serve as a communication device in case he loses his earpieces.

Facial Features

Long chiseled face, usually seen sporting a mask to conceal his identity, and a scowl.
His eyes are a deep blue that seem to peer into your soul, analyzing everything you do or are about to do. However they seem to exude a powerful goodness that can make even the largest of evils cower.
His skin remains smooth and unscathed and holds no record of his many battles.
He sports a mighty beard and mustache in his adult life.

Family died at the time of acquiring superpowers.
Violent crimes were quite abundant in his city and seeing them happen often on the news (and sometimes in person) from a young age caused him to grow up fast so as to not be another victim himself.
Has watched many many people get hurt and/or die because of his failures.

Intellectual Characteristics

He's very book smart! It helps him a lot in his role.
He does try to do things himself but (mostly) knows when to ask for help and gets help from his team when he needs it.
He doesn't really show off his intelligence in an arrogant sort of way but does make it known that he has brains as well as brawn so people don't treat him like an idiot.
In fights he thinks and acts spontaneously and irrationally more often but when he's investigating a scene or perhaps looking through evidence his thoughts are more organized and he is more analytical, overall when his mental health issues don't get in the way he's more analytical and of an organized mind as a person.

He will only kill and use violence if it is needed, but refuses to kill, or be overtly violent in front of children unless absolutely necessary.
Unless absolutely necessary, he will never purposely harm an innocent person.
