The Game is Afoot 3: Mystic Mob Investigations

General Summary

Notes scribbled quickly between moments of intense work

The fight in Dead Ringer expanded from "us + Auntie Maicha's bar patrons VS twerps calling themselves Crimson Nova and also Jedi Hunters" abruptly into
  • us
  • various patrons of Auntie Maicha's fine establishment
  • one particular patron who is trying to sneak away from EVERYBODY while broadcasting his very guilty conscience
  • twerps calling themselves "Crimson Nova" while also calling themselves "Jedi Hunters" while also falling down when their parlor tricks don't work on anybody who ever played "back alley volleyball" at the instigation of Razak's Roughnecks
  • new group of guys, melting their way through the walls, say they're with Ragnar Syndicate; they are trying to handcuff:
  • N8 who is flailing in true Panicked Protocol Droid style. He just might put somebody's eye out at this rate. Newbies ought to back way off.
Actually. I decided that I had better do something about all the incidental shrapnel that's flying around the bar at this point.

My eyes might be crossing, but I found a datapad on one of the Ragnar’s Syndicate guys. I gave it to N8.
Auntie confirms for us one clear-spoken time: To find Mace Windu, go to Thyferra and find a smuggler named Prix.
So'Zen Al Saba made it in from "following where the Force leads" toward the end of the fight. We were glad to have him. Now he says he wants to introduce us to Security Chief Janian Murphy over at the museum section of the Imperial Palace of the Star Empire. Allll right then.

This gentleman gives me the impression that he just may may think we are off our collective tree.

Until So'zen shows us the hidden laboratory he uncovered inside the museum.
There is a dead Jedi Knight in here.
This is gross.
The corpse is in an electronics-filled tube, hooked up to some kind of equipment.
He is still in there.
This is SUPER GROSS!
Aerena and I work together to put a stop to this blatant Pruneface osik.
Tobray Nin, a Togrutan, a Jedi Knight, is the subject of several notes written by Darth Sidious as part of an experiment. Tobray tried to assassinate Palpatine but got killed by Palpatine’s apprentice. (Feyd? Dragomir? Ellaine Vorhejeron? There've been a lot. Pruneface was not much of a teacher.) The experiment was meant to explore the boundaries between life, death, and The Force.

Given some of the implications created by this whole suite of rooms, suddenly it's no trouble if I request an audience with the Crown. Chief Murphy is going to take most of us (not N8!) up to get a few minutes’ audience with the office of the Empress and Consort.

(Vanya spent a Force Point on stopping the momentum of all moving objects in the Dead Ringer, in order to try to keep her friends and the civilians alive.)
