Possibly she was associated somehow with the Adepta Sororitas. Or she might've been related to the Nightsister raiding party we arrested out in Danju System.

Some frustrated folks at a cotillion in Neona System tried to feed me a tall tale about how this Merglin person was the long-lost sister of a high ranking Bene Gesserit which sounds to me like a badly attempted reputation smear, because why would "this ambitious jerk is a relation" make any person in the entire Tapani Imperium look bad to the rest of Vor society? I think half of them fuel their hyperdrives with distilled ambition.

What I can say for sure about Merglin is this: She tried to take over our memories, and the whole Tapani Sector while she was at it. Eventually Eleni Benacor went to put a stop to the would-be Empress of the Confederation. This allowed the Tapani Civil War to finally come to a stop -- without Merglin driving, the more realistic people in House Vormelantha could see all the harm they were doing to themselves.
