Born to an irodonian law enforcer on Coruscant Xamu himself have no memory of this planet. Xamu grew up as a fugitive on a planet, because the Empire was hunting Zabraks. Never able to leave he learned his fathers trade as an investigator, and gained a low education, but he never could do much with his teachings as he was stuck.
Xamu learned how to handle weapons, the hand-to-hand combat of the Zabraks and especially how to track, hunt and gather intel. He proved especially good at learning the truth from people as he seemingly could sense their feelings and thoughts.
Unbeknownst to Xamu he could sense the force. It provided him with insight. But also visions. Xamu would dream of places and scenes from throughout the galaxy and these visions caused him to feel a great longing for leaving. Xamu wished to see the worlds of the galaxy and to learn their secrets.
Finally after 30 years in hiding the empire fell and Xamu could leave. Now he's been travelling the galaxy taking whatever jobs will allow him to travel further and visit new locations

Motivation

Xamu is a driven adventurer. He wishes to see the beautiful scenery from all over the galaxy and to learn it's history and mysteries. He often writes about the people and the stories he comes across. He has no real goal, as he's seen the anxiety that comes with aspiration and what it does to people. Instead he only worries about the now saying that if you're okay in the now you're likely to be okay in the future
