Accomplishments & Achievements

After the war had ended and the Providence returned to Earth, then lieutenant Lowe was promoted to the rank of lieutenant commander. Her service during the war and her accomplishments as an engineer were deemed exemplary and earned her a commendation from Starfleet Command.

Mental Trauma

During the final battle of the Dominion War, Lowe was caught in a plasma coolant leak and lost her left arm and leg.

Even though the missing limbs were replaced with state-of-the-art cybernetic prosthetics shortly after Providence returned to the shipyards of Utopia Planitia for repairs, it took a long time for Lowe to adjust, having to re-learn many essential skills.

In addition to the physical challenge of adjusting to the prosthetic limbs, Lowe also suffered from a greatly diminished sense of self-worth following her injury. She would often refer to herself as "less human", "part mashine" or "a clunky cyborg".
