The Age of Madness

4,000 B.C. - 1

The time when civilization was just dawning, and the eight natural races were new, little is known about this time, save for some ruins and artifacts scattered across earth. No accounts exist of this time, because no writings have ever survived beyond this era, save for one: The Kaoticon.

 

This tome is the cause of the hallmarks of this era, namely that those who read it brought madness and discord upon themselves, their cities, and even the laws of physics. Rocks floated and melted into forests, snow started countless wildfires, and gravity was in constant flux.

  This Elderon did their best to quell the chaos, but the only permanent solution came when Endiro finally destroyed the accursed tome, scattering its pages to the winds. The other Elderon would have demolished the very atoms that made up those pages, but the world was still under the effects of the wretched book, and by the time they were able to return the world to normal, the pages were all over the world, hidden from view.

With The Kaoticon destroyed and no longer changing the gravity every five minutes, the Elderon were finally able to guide their races' civilizations in peace.
