Ki Blade
Tier 1 Technique (Easy(d) difficulty)
"Now, make solid your soul's power, and cut down your enemies!"By focusing Ki energy into one's arm, one can forge it into a single one-handed melee weapon that the user can wield until the end of their next turn. This blade can cut through a great deal of materials, although tougher and denser materials require more effort to cut through, and it has trouble cutting through magically warded materials. It can also be used to unlock any door or chest, usually by slicing it in half. It is possible to make a blade for an ally to use, however the user must be engaged with their ally in order to forge it, and if they let go of the blade for any reason, the blade disintegrates. There are a variety of ways one can modify the blade generated, which increase the difficulty of the spell, and they are described below:
- Extra Weapon: This technique can create one additional weapon. (+d)
- Range: Increases the range (how far away an ally can be to generate a blade) by one range band. This can be applied multiple times, increasing the range and difficulty each time. (+d)
- Large Blade: This technique generates a two-handed melee weapon instead. (+d)
- Armor-Piercing: The blade gains a Pierce quality with a rating equal to the user's ranks in Knowledge. (+dd)
- Empower Blade:The blade's base damage is now twice the user's ranks in Knowledge. (+dd)

The quote you used at the beginning of the article is quite evocative. Really sets the image of summoning a ki blade in your mind while you read the rest of the article. Question time! Let's say someone was born without any arms or perhaps lost them in an accident, would they still be able to summon ki--but just not apply it to this spell?
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! To answer your question, it is possible for someone without arms to use KI, just not this technique, and there are technologies and magics that can regenerate lost limbs.
