Divine Ultimatum
Tier 4 Spell (Daunting(d d d d) difficulty)
"Now, Wura, lend me your full power!"The Elderon are powerful beings, far more powerful than any mere mortal could hope to be. This spell offers a mere fraction of their true power to the most devoted of clerics, and is different for each Elderon. The full list of effects is below:
- Elder Sight: Granted to Coraga's followers, this allows the caster to create a one-way divination circle that can see almost anything that is currently happening. There are restrictions, however. Because this power is granted by Coraga herself, she can choose to deny the requested vision if it is used with selfish or perverted intent. In addition, it cannot be used to see the future, and seeing into the past requires an object or person from that time.
- Dwarven Paradox: Granted to Wura's followers, this spell can make a target grow to silhouette 3 (as massive as a jet fighter) until the end of the caster's next turn, doubling all melee and unarmed damage dealt.
- Attractiveness Overload: Granted to Bayu's followers, this spell makes a target so attractive to a wall or ceiling, that it manifests as a gravitational pull. This can be used to immobilize enemies, or to walk on the walls. This effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to the caster's ranks in Knowledge.
- Goldenwing Roar: Granted to Drogus's followers, this spell sends a powerful roar that deals Sonic damage to all enemies in front of the caster, and can even be used in places where there is no atmosphere.
- Weather Command: Granted to Araque's followers, this spell allows the caster to change the weather of their current location, from summoning or removing storms to causing lightning strikes and heatwaves. This cannot be used in places where there is no atmosphere, or if the caster is not currently on a planet.
- Moonlight Howl: Granted to Lycaros's followers, this spell grants the target the speed and strength of a wolf pack, allowing them to move from short to long range in a single maneuver, and any attacks they make gain the Vicious quality with a rating equal to the caster's ranks in Knowledge, and a critical rating of 2.
- Gorgon's Gaze: Granted to Mulus' followers, the target of this spell must make a Discipline check with a difficulty equal to the caster's ranks in Knowledge. If they fail, they become petrified and cannot move for a number of turns equal to the caster's ranks in Knowledge. The caster may spend t from the spell's check to make the condition permanent. Permanently petrified people can be saved if someone, including the original caster, casts Gorgon's Gaze on them again.
- Miracle Charm: Granted to Dalomon's followers, this spell can heal any injury, cleanse any illness, and even regrow missing limbs, although this process usually takes a few days. It can be used to depetrify those affected by Gorgon's Gaze, and restore a character's wound and strain thresholds. It cannot be used to revive the dead, however.
- Chaos Word: Granted to Endiro's followers, this spell's effect is determined by replacing "word" with a single-word command during the casting. Endrio will then aid the caster, usually through acts of mischief or trickery. It is said that no two Chaos Word spells operate the same way. For example, one use of "Chaos Extinguish" might summon a prank flower that dowses flames in water, while another might conjure a fire extinguisher which is then thrown at the fire.

Good job! For an article explaining the rules of a game, I found it quite entertaining, and your efforts really show in both the details and the illustrations of the sidebar. My favorite is definitely Weather Command (I just love any kind of magic relating to nature and the elements :P). "Attractiveness Overload" is a funny name; before reading the description, I assumed it would turn the caster into the most beautiful person in the universe and everyone would be romantically or sexually attracted to them! I would like to know more about these Elderon beings. Are they like the gods of your world? I see that in Elder Sight, Coraga can deny the effects of the spell. Can the same happen with the rest of the effects? Like, if an Elderon is annoyed at the caster, deny them the effects of the spell they want to cast? That was an interesting read, thanks for sharing! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, the Elderon are my versoin of gods, and I do think that the "denying your request" bad effect can and should happen every now and again, either due to the player's actions or that particular elderon being an arsehole.
