SSAU

Set in an advanced timeline of the Sunless Skies universe, SSAU follows the journey of the infamous "Averius", a vessel with a long history and a curious temperament. She is steered by the mercurial and oft misunderstood Audacious Skyfarer, a man with a past as mysterious and storied as the engine he commands; he leads a crew of equally eccentric individuals, each haunted or pursued by their own demons and shadows. With his ever-loyal officers at his back, the Audacious Skyfarer and the "Averius" make for an intimidating match against any foe, human or skybeast.   For years, he terrorized the skies of Albion, the scourge of the Stovepipes, known enemy of Her Renewed Majesty and the Establishment, until one day, without warning or apparent cause, he abandoned that life. The "Averius" later surfaced in the Reach, a stretch of the High Wilderness far from London's immediate influence, and though he continued to target the Enduring Dreadnoughts that patrol the Reach, his connection with the Tacketies is unconfirmed. The "Averius" became a rogue agent, her true agenda unknown.   She may very well have continued on this course, perhaps to her demise, had it not been for the appearance of a new face - the Blazing Idealist, a young man driven by passion and yearning. Unknown to them all, his hidden past held the key to unlock the secret and invisible threads of fate binding the crew of the "Averius", and a shared destiny that would thrust them back into the life the Audacious Skyfarer tried so hard to leave behind.
