Subaru Soto

Subaru "Submersible" Soto is a former Captain of the United States army, currently working as a teacher for the Nation United's meta human Academy program in Mexico.
He's been active as a superhero since discovering his occurrence in 2004; he served as a special operative for the US army during the "War on Terror" until 2007 when he joined the Global Squad as team leader. Submersible was honorably discharged from the army in 2014 when he retired from the Global Squad.
He's since joined the Ramparts and is acting as an independent agent, sporadically intervening against over fishing and polluters in the American West Coast, though he seems to have cut back on his activities since retiring from the army.

History

Subaru was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1984. He enlisted in the US army in 2001. He would go on to graduate from a prestigious Military College in 2007. During his stay in the academy he discovered his occurrence as he was capable of superhuman feats under water.
After discovery of his occurrence Subaru was constantly deployed, particularly to special ops in the strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Iran; he spent most the first year of the Iraq war in 2003 deployed as part of equipment escort and marine reconnaissance.
In 2007 he was reassigned to join the Global Squad as their liaison with the American army and commanding officer. His leadership was fraught with insubordination from members which resulted in him stepping down in favor of Saturn.
In 2014 he retired from both the army and Global Squad to join the Ramparts after having been invited by Glory.

Appearance

Submersible is a short and stout looking young man, he comes from a Latin-Japanese household and takes pride in his heritage. He sports short black hair styled in military fashion, his eyes are a bright golden color, probably a result of his singularity and has a very defined jaw and cheekbones which give his face a rectangular look.
Submersible's trademark outfit is a simple black speedo with a knife and a transmitter strapped to his chest.

Powers and Abilities

Neptune’s Gift: Submersible is immune to the harsh underwater conditions, while underwater his abilities are greatly enhanced allowing him to swim at incredible speeds, resist most damage, grants him super strength and enhancing his senses.
Submersible usually relies on Crowd Controlling large group of enemies, picking off high priority targets and dragging them into the deeps where he can match enemies well above his weight class.
