Action: Two-Three - Local merc gang recognises Crux from Knight City & approaches the team with a extortion threats. Pay up or we expose you as Threshold operatives.
They are in a precarious position themselves, just getting established, rivals of FIVE STAR SECURITY and this may be an angle to get them off DSI9’s case. Turn up the heat on Action Two-Three and they won’t be able to act against DSI9. Direct action can also work but may be bloody. Covert action to expose weaknesses of their own is another option, or to turn their clients against them.
• Hook – they confront Miss Tring* as she walks to HQ – bundle her into a van and drive her to a parking lot in Beacon Hill where they threaten her and tell her to pass a message to her “boss” – They want 50K or they will expose DSI9’s past. They give her a burner phone to contact her in 24 hours for the answer. • Response – up to the team – there are clues from the attackers’ appearance, or possibly CCTV footage can be found that can lead to them. They may wait 24 hours and trace the call. Whatever. • Details – Action Two-Three operate out of a haulage depot in Northside. There are about a dozen of them in total, 4 well trained, the others just competent. The big boss is Shutter Devlin an African American former marine with cybernetic eyes and a scarred face. One of the key enforcers is scary ginger Redwood a neo-nazi sadist. Redwood was part of a gang in Knight City Falls that was shut down by Crux and Rosco as part of a Threshold action to stop them stealing memory chips.
