Gnomes

A small ship fell from the sky, right onto my potato field! Mad as I was I started cursing the ship for ruining my families hard work on my prized potatoes. My anger soon faded as weird Hobbitlike creatures descended from the strange ship which was suspended by airballoons. One of the creatures began to speak and I could only make out a few words, for the speed at which this person spoke was something I hadn't heard before. 'Calm yourself with your strange dialect, foreigner from the South. I can't make out a word you're saying' I told him and he began to speak slower.The man explained he was not a Southerner, but a Gnome from across the stars and he excused himself for landing on my potatoes. I offered him to come have a meal with my familly, for he sounded like a starving lunatic. I couldn't make out much of the things he spoke to me about, but in the end he traded me a magical device with which I could plough the fields with ease for my families pumpkin soup recipe. So all by all, I made a pretty fair deal that day!

Short figures, with pointy noses and ears. Their hair is often times rather excentric.

Genetics and Reproduction

Gnomes are rather secretive over their most advanced technologies. But some believe they have found a way to reproduce under magical circumstances. This rumor spreads since no Gnomish children have ever been seen.

Ecology and Habitats

Gnomes live underground in caves near forests. Being underground gives them the isolation needed to work on new findings. While being near the surface gives them the opportunity to go out for walks, broadening their mind while they take in the beauty of their surroundings.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Gnomes are often times seen drinking a weird kind of slurry. They created this slurry with the ideal nutrient ratios for a Gnome, so they only need to drink one slurry a day. Gnomes do however like tasting new things, but they are just terrible cooks.

Pointy noses, pointy ears, rather small chins. Their foreheads are usually also rather large.

Forrest Gnomes are spread over the Forrests and the hills. While Rock Gnomes have taken a living in the Mountains. They also have plenty of settlements on other planets and their three moons.

Gnomes believe in the idea of a beautiful mind. The smarter and more open way of thinking a Gnome has, the more attractive they are to other Gnomes.

While there are female and male Gnomes, most Gnomes have no specific gender ideals. It is also very common for a Gnome to be either bisexual or asexual. For most Gnomes are either interested in any romantic relations or not at all.

Courtship among Gnomes is usually very rationalized. With relationship contracts which state what both Gnomes want out of the relationship into every smallest detail as an example.

The term bored is a concept unfamiliar and frightening to Gnomes.
