Dal Aghad
The lower part of the city is noisy due to several brawling and scolding miners, hammering and smelting of alloys. The Miner's Pillars where most of the common folk live also reek of spilled beer and wild urinations in the streets. The temperature is chilly, but not as bad as outside of the mountain.
The higher up part is a lot less noisy and a whole lot cleaner. The only smell you get there is that of freshly forged weapons and armor or the smell of fermenting beer in the Sleeping Drunkard.

Industry & Trade
People living outside of the mountain mostly work in the fields, trading business, army or transport business. This way they sustain the people working in the mountain as crafters, miners and brewers.
Due to the harsh weather around Dal Aghad, they often need to trade with near settlements to feed their people.
Infrastructure
The central city consists of a bunch of mines connected with minecart rails.

History
The Dwarves first settled near the river that originates from the crater in the Holy Mountain Esaird. Soon however, they began to delve into the mountain, to discover more about their origin and to provide more offspring. This turned into the first big Dwarvish hall, with many more to come.
The city hasn't had much trouble apart from a few famines and some monster outbreaks in the mines.
Architecture
Everything is hewed out of rock and the more polished/uniform the exterior of a building, the more important it is. Many buildings often have statues of Dwarves encapsulated in them and brass chandeliers adorn most of the ceilings and walls.
Geography
Huge mountain, with a freshwater river. Most of the mountain is snowy, but near the base it has a more temperate climate.
