Chancellor of the Union
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must have completed graduate studies in the field of public administration or any other related field. Candidates must also have five years of experience in public administration and, although this is not an official requirement, it is generally appreciated that the candidate has political experience.
Requirements
To hold this position, candidates must be citizens of the Myrran Trade Union, meet the necessary qualifications, be of legal age, not be the subject of legal proceedings at the time of filing their candidacy, not have been convicted of a crime fifteen years before applying and have no apparent conflict of interest with any individual, corporation or government.
Appointment
The first part of the election begins with the selection of candidates, all citizens of the Union who meet the requirements for the position can submit their application to an independent agency which will process them. Once it has been verified that their application is compliant, they can start requesting support from members of the Senate and Parliament who can provide it anonymously. The four candidates with the most support will be the candidates who will compete in the final election. The person with the most votes becomes the Chancellor of the Myrran Trade Union.
Duties
The duties of the Chancellor of the Union are to represent all citizens of the Union, to fulfill these responsibilities in accordance with the Corporate Agreement and to represent the Union abroad or during diplomatic visits by other leaders.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Chancellor of the Union are to direct the foreign policy of the Union, to lead these armed forces as the supreme chief of the armies and to appoint the various members of the government after his election.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
To be removed from these functions, the Chancellor must, on the initiative of Parliament, be the target of a motion of censure voted and approved by 3/4 of the members of the Senate and of Parliament. The Chancellor can also be removed from office if he is subject to legal proceedings, if he is found guilty, he is permanently removed from these functions, but he can resume them if he is acquitted.
