Spacer Cats

The founding of the "Kelly" station on mars in 2046 marked humanity's first steps outside its home, and into the vastness of space. As the generations have carried on, and they have reached farther into the darkness no other intelligent life seems to exist but their own. Its now 2823, the habits of humanity, pride, greed, lust, envy, glutton, wrath and sloth continue in cycles. The ability to harness the power of planets, to reach distant stars, and travel faster than light itself has not changed us.   Most of humanity live on colonized planets, the food they eat, the water they drink are often imported by planets better suited to supply colonies with weaker infrastructure. This intergalactic trade falls under the GTO, and multi-system agreement of free trade. The men and woman who provide this trade are called Spacers. May they be modest cargo hauler, or the maverick starship security pilot, they lay their lives down every day to ensure humanity can continue to live amongst the stars.   This setting is not about war, technology, or space travel, its about people trying to live on the edges of space, and their stories of being a spacer.
